Role Details

The Movement Scientist (Biomechanics) provides specialised, integrated, high-quality services in the areas of movement science, and specifically biomechanics. These services will be developed and delivered in collaboration with SASI coaches to elite SASI sports, coaching programs, and athletes. This role will also provide specialist input to the SASI Para Unit in the area of movement science (biomechanics). This position involves close working relationships with coaches, athletes and other Performance Support staff. Integral to the role is the ability to work as both an independent service provider and integrated team member.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent
  • Some work outside of normal hours may be required
  • Some interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required
  • This role requires a working with children check

Essential Qualifications / Licences 

  • A current SA driver’s licence and willingness to drive is essential
  • Human Movement / Exercise and Sports Science Degree ESSA Accredited Sport Scientist (ASpS) Level 1
  • Sport Integrity Australia anti-doping education (or willingness to complete)
  • Senior First Aid and CPR (or willingness to complete)
