Role Details

The Property Management Officer is responsible for tenant and stakeholder management and leading or supporting the negotiation and documentation of various leasing and tenure agreements, cost recovery agreements and rent reviews. The Property Management Officer contributes to the effective planning and delivery of property and, with support from the Senior Asset Management and Planning Officer, will assist in the development and implementation of asset management plans and relevant partnership agreements. This position will also work closely with the Facilities Officer and the Planning team. The Property Management Officer will be part of the broader Asset Management team and will assist in providing property services for other nominated property assets.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some work outside of normal hours may be required.
  • Some interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
  • This role requires a Working with Children Check.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Property, Business Administration or equivalent work.
  • Current drivers’ licence

About the Department

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead agency for the Government’s policy on sport and active recreation. ORSR is responsible for State Government policy and legislation as it relates to the sector, its key programs, sport and recreation infrastructure and funding programs. The ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, Councils and the community through the development of policy, programs and resources, the provision of funding, recreation and sport planning, infrastructure development, elite sport pathways and programs, and the promotion of physical activity.

About the Business

The Infrastructure and Planning division supports high performance sport by providing training and competition facilities as well as accessible high-performance sport experiences for the community. The division is responsible for a number of the State’s key sporting assets including the SA Athletics Stadium, South Australian Sports Institute (SASI), Adelaide Super-Drome, and Eagle Mountain Bike Park and co-managed or leased venues such as SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Netball SA Stadium, State Hockey Stadium, and State Centre for Football.

It undertakes development planning, construction, project management, facilities management, and recreation trails development and management. Current projects include the new National Centre for Sports Aerodynamics, new SASI at Mile End, SA Athletics Stadium upgrade, and new State Basketball Centre.

The division provides planning guidance and advice to state sport and recreation organisations, associations and Local Government Authorities whilst maintaining a State Infrastructure Plan and registration of interest process.
