Role Details

The Images services officer is responsible for managing the reproduction of works of art in the Art Gallery of South Australia’s collection and the associated copyright procedures. This role works closely with Images Services team to prioritise the digitisation of the collection and supports the objectives of the South Australian Arts and Culture Plan 2019-2024, in addition to AGSA’s strategic plan, to progress the Gallery’s collection online.

Special Conditions

The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
Some interstate and international travel involving overnight absences will be required.
Compliance with Government legislation, Code of Ethics for the SA Public Sector, DSD policies and procedures, including ethical / accountable resources and information management, WHS and injury management, risk management, and the access / equity /diversity strategies of the public sector.
The incumbent will be required to maintain a safe working environment by adopting appropriate hazard management practices consistent with the role.
The incumbent will be expected to uphold the ethical behaviour and professional integrity standards as contained in the Public Sector Act, 2009.
Understanding and compliance with the Australia Council Protocols for reproducing Indigenous Australian Visual Arts, the Indigenous Art Code, United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Australian Copyright Act 1968.
Prior to engagement successful candidates will be required to have their identity confirmed using the Document Verification Service for Australian issued primary identification documents.
