Role Details
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Senior Grants Officer is accountable to the Senior Grants Management Advisor for assisting in the achievement of the objectives and outcomes of the Multicultural Affairs business unit; contributing to the operation and implementation of the Multicultural Grants program.
KEY OUTCOMES OF ROLE:
- Follow required legislation, policies and procedures regarding the administration of grant programs.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of all the functions relating to the grants programs the provision of information and advice to prospective applicants, receiving and reviewing applications, facilitating approvals for applications, preparing grant agreements, facilitating payments, and reviewing acquittals and evaluations.
- Contribute to the effective monitoring and evaluation of the funded projects.
- Development of reports and analysis of relevant data to assist with monitoring and annual corporate reporting requirements as required.
- Represent Multicultural Affairs at public events and provide presentations and speeches, conduct application workshops and promotions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders for effective program management.
- Interact respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check.
