Role Details
Policy and Program Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of culturally appropriate initiatives and policies aligned with the Voice to Parliament.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government, community, and industry stakeholders through consultation, collaboration, and representation on committees and working groups.
Executive Support: Assist the Executive Director, Strategic Engagement with strategic advice, issue identification, and opportunities for improved program delivery.
Team Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to foster initiative, teamwork, and the achievement of high-level outcomes within set timeframes.
Strategic Planning: Identify and prioritise strategic opportunities, sustainability planning, and trends to guide and shape outcomes.
Expert Advice and Reporting: Deliver high-level advice and oversee the preparation of complex reports, submissions, and briefing papers in a timely and accurate manner.
Mentoring and Coaching: Provide culturally specific guidance, mentoring, and coaching to others where needed.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a Working with Children check.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.

Strategic Engagement will lead Key cross government and community engagement activities to inform the development, delivery and
implementation and of range of high-profile projects and policy initiatives, contribute to critical
issues management and strategic planning to deliver Government and organisational priorities in a
consistent and cohesive way.
