Role Details

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to evolve its digital and ICT agenda. Reporting to the Group Director, ICT and Business Services, you will set the vision and direction for enterprise technology at DPC. You will lead the delivery of reliable, secure and contemporary ICT services while driving digital transformation and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including AI.

Working closely with senior executives, you will ensure technology investment supports business priorities and enables high-quality, trusted services.

About you

You are an experienced and credible ICT leader who thrives in complex environments and brings a strong focus on outcomes and impact, including:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise ICT strategy and transformation
  • Expertise in cyber security, risk and governance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at executive level
  • Commercial acumen managing budgets, procurement and contracts
  • The ability to translate complex technical issues into clear advice

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.
  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance at Negative Vetting level 1.
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required, including participation in incident response or critical service restoration activities.

ICT Services ensures the smooth operation of the ICT services within the department. The group plans, directs, coordinates and designs ICT-related activities, as well as providing management and support for daily operational activities including the management and delivery of service support and service delivery.
