Role Details

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing, communications and visitation activities for the MotoGP and associated motorsport programs delivered by the South Australian Motor Sport Board (SAMSB). Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role will take the lead on implementing integrated, multi-channel campaigns across paid, owned and earned media for allocated events, ensuring alignment with whole-of-government advertising requirements, commercial partner obligations and event objectives.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Plan and deliver integrated marketing and advertising campaigns for MotoGP and associated programs, translating strategic direction into coordinated, multi-channel activity.
  • Lead engagement with the Government Advertising and Insights Hub, supporting campaign approvals, briefing processes and implementation in line with required frameworks.
  • Manage the development of event branding and creative assets, ensuring consistency, quality and alignment with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement with PR agencies and media stakeholders to support delivery of PR strategies, media releases and event coverage.
  • Work closely with event partners, sponsors and delivery agencies to coordinate marketing activity, support partner deliverables and ensure alignment across campaigns.
  • Implement visitation strategies, including coordination with tourism bodies and travel partners to drive attendance outcomes.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of campaign content, including photography, videography and digital assets, ensuring timely delivery and quality outputs.
  • Collect, monitor and report on campaign performance and customer insights, providing analysis and recommendations to inform continuous improvement.
  • Support procurement processes as required for marketing activities from time to time.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.
