Role Details

The Project Officer is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, projects and partnerships that support the implementation of Government and ORSR strategic priorities. These include supporting the sector's innovation and growth, driving inclusive practices across all levels, enhancing the skills, capacity, and engagement of both paid and volunteer workforces, and increasing children's and young people's participation in sport and active recreation.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
  • This role requires a working with children check.

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead South Australian Government agency for sport, active recreation and racing. ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, local government, and the community by providing leadership and support through the development and delivery of funding, policy, programs, infrastructure planning and management, and high-performance pathways.

About the Business

The Sector Capability and Partnerships division takes a strategic and integrated approach to developing and delivering sport and active recreation initiatives that promote diversity, equity and sustainability. The division focuses on supporting the sport and recreation sector to create inclusive and welcoming environments that encourage lifelong participation, helping to build and sustain a proud, active, and connected community.
