Role Details

The Policy Officer supports delivery of the Office for Autism’s professional learning project and related policy initiatives through policy development, research and project coordination. Working closely with the Director and partners across government and community, the role prepares high quality advice, briefings and project outputs. It applies sound policy and project management practices to support planning, governance, monitoring and reporting, contributes to inclusive and autism informed approaches, and identifies emerging issues, risks and opportunities to support evidence based decision making.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
  • This role requires a Working With Children Check.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.
