Role Details
The Project Support Officer provides administrative and operational support to assist with the delivery of strategic initiatives, projects and partnerships aligned with Government and ORSR priorities. This includes helping to coordinate events and programs that encourage innovation and growth within the sector, promote inclusive practices, build the skills and capacity of paid staff and volunteers, and support increased participation of children and young people in sport and active recreation.
This position also provides support to other divisions of the Agency, liaises with and supports state sport organisations, state recreation organisations, industry bodies, local government, the racing and boxing and martial arts sectors and other relevant government and community organisations.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours may be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead South Australian Government agency for sport, active recreation and racing. ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, local government, and the community by providing leadership and support through the development and delivery of funding, policy, programs, infrastructure planning and management, and high-performance pathways.

The Sector Capability and Partnerships division takes a strategic and integrated approach to developing and delivering sport and active recreation initiatives that promote diversity, equity and sustainability. The division focuses on supporting the sport and recreation sector to create inclusive and welcoming environments that encourage lifelong participation, helping to build and sustain a proud, active, and connected community.
