Role Details
The Communications Advisor supports the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and public sector, to meet its communications objectives, including the development of corporate communications, design and delivery of communication plans. This includes delivering events, communications planning and internal and external content development. People from diverse backgrounds including First Nations people are strongly encouraged to apply.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours may be required.
- Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
Desirable Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communication or a related field.
- Experience with online content management systems including Sharepoint and Squiz.

About the Business
The Strategic Communications team supports the department to effectively communicate with its stakeholders both internal and external to government. The team is responsible for the department's intranet, extranet and website publishing and coordinates whole of government email communications, the department’s media activities, and designs engaging visual content to support the communications activities. Strategic Communications also works across government to create a pipeline of content that reflects activity across the South Australian public sector and manages the SA Government social media channels and We Are.SA communications portal.
