Role Details
The Manager, Asset Management is responsible for the strategic and operational management of ORSR’s property portfolio and built assets to ensure their sustainability, functionality, compliance, and long-term value. This role provides leadership in asset planning, lifecycle management, and optimisation of resources to ensure that assets meet the needs of ORSR and the community now and into the future.
The Manager, Asset Management leads a small team with property, contract and facilities management functions, as well as overseeing several externally managed venues. The team delivers asset planning, lifecycle management, property management, maintenance and facilities services, and capital works programs.
The position is part of the Infrastructure and Planning Management Team and provides expert advice to the Director and Executive Leadership Team.
The Manager, Asset Management will be required to work across the organisation, with other government agencies, and a variety of external stakeholders, and has a close working relationship with the Planning Team, Major Projects Team, Venue Operations Team, and the Business Development Manager.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours may be required.
- Some interstate/intrastate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
Essential Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in asset management, property management, finance, business or other relevant field.
- Current driver’s licence.

ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, local government, and the community by providing leadership and support through the development and delivery of funding, policy, programs, infrastructure planning and management, and high-performance pathways.
About the Business
The Infrastructure and Planning division provides a strategic and integrated approach towards the development and delivery of recreation and sport infrastructure and works to build diversity, strength, capacity and sustainability with industry clients and the community. The division is responsible for a number of the State's key sporting assets, including major sporting venues such as the South Australian Sports Institute, Netball SA Stadium, SA Athletics Stadium and Adelaide Super-Drome. Our team undertakes development planning, construction, project management, facilities management, and recreation trails development and management.
