Role Details

The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for the development and provision of effective, strategic briefings and advice on diplomatic relations, international opportunities and protocol, and is required to support the organisation and delivery of international programs, official visits and projects that support the delivery of the Government's agenda.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.
  • This role will require attainment of a Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1).

About the Business

The Diplomatic Relations and Protocol team plans and delivers state events on behalf of the Premier and manages and facilitates inbound and outbound international and diplomatic missions. The team ensures all state protocols are applied effectively.
