Role Details

This role will be supporting the State Lead, COP31 by providing high-level executive assistance and ensuring effective coordination and administrative support across the team. The Executive Assistant will also provide high-quality and efficient office management services that support the strategic and operational objectives of the Office.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.

About the Business

Australia is bidding to host the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's (UNFCCC) 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) in 2026, in partnership with the Pacific. If successful, COP31 will be held over three weeks in November/December 2026 in an Australian city. COPs are one of the largest international meetings in the world with representatives from governments (at all levels), civil society and global media coming together every year to address the collective impacts of climate change.
